Laity Sunday – January 28
First Planning Meeting – January 4
The word laity refers to people of religious faith who are not ordained clergy. This year we are reviving an old FCC tradition of holding Laity Sunday where the laity takes the lead in preparing and providing worship.
Our first planning meeting will be held on January 4 at 7:00 PM in the church parlor and will be facilitated by the Board of Deacons. All are welcome to attend. We are looking for creative ideas to enhance our worship experience as well as people to actually participate in the service. Ever have the desire to preach a sermon to the congregation? This is your opportunity! Future planning meetings to be determined by the group.
